Carib Health Chat will end on July 1, 2026

As of July 1, 2026, the Carib Health chat function will no longer be available.

Over the past period, Carib Health has been used as a pilot project to explore whether digital communication through this app could be a valuable addition to primary healthcare in the Caribbean region. ZJCN has decided to discontinue funding for this project, which means that the Carib Health chat function will end on July 1, 2026.

This does not mean that we will no longer be available digitally.

Carib Health is now available!

On February 5, 2025, Bonaire Medisch Centrum and Centro Médico Central started a trial with Carib Health. 
We invite Android users to use the Carib Health app.

All others can access Carib Health web from April 9. Carib Health web has the same features as the Carib Health app for Android, but can be used in a browser on any device.

 


 

How the Carib Health app works

Chat directly with a doctor

Send a message, share pictures, or have a video call.

Quickly request prescriptions refills

Request it from the medical assistant via the chat.

Schedule an appointment via the chat

If an appointment is needed after the chat with the doctor, it will directly be scheduled.

Medical care within reach with the Carib Health app

 

With the Carib Health app, patients of Bonaire Medisch Centrum and Centro Médico Central can ask healthcare questions directly to a doctor, via chat or video. 

This means you don’t always have to visit the practice in person. If a visit is necessary, we'll schedule an appointment at your general practice. You can also easily request repeat prescriptions from the medical assistant via the chat. Our goal is to make healthcare even more accessible.

At this moment, you can only use the Carib Health app if you are a patient at Bonaire Medisch Centrum or Centro Médico Central.

What is the Carib Health app?

The Carib Health app is an app that allows you to directly ask your healthcare questions to a doctor. This means you don’t always have to visit the practice in person, making healthcare even more accessible. 

You can use the Carib Health app for the following: 

  • Chat or video call directly with a doctor

  • Request prescription refills via the chat with the medical assistant 

  • Schedule an appointment at the practice 

  • Ask any other questions you have for the practice 

At this moment, patients of Bonaire Medical Center and Centro Médico Central can use the app. 

Our team of doctors will assist you via chat or video. All our doctors are BIG-registered. 

You can chat from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

Do you have an iPhone or a computer? Then you can use Carib Health Web from April 9.
